To Our Guests and Friends: This coming Sunday we will be honoring our mothers. It has been said that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. In some ways this is true. Our mothers gave us so much in teaching us how to be the kind of person we should. We learned how to care for others and how to put others first. Mothers teach us compassion for our fellow man. Without these traits the human race would have gone a long time ago. It has also been said that a mother's love is closest to the love of God. No matter what, a mother's love never changes. We never get too far away, and, no matter what may happen, our mother's love is still strong. Mother’s love transcends time and distance.
The same can be said of God's love for us. It does not matter what we may do, say, or how far from God we may get. His love for us remains the same. He loves us with an eternal love. That is why he sent His son to die on the cross. No matter what, we can never get away from God's love for us.
I would like to invite you to Shiloh this Sunday for Mother's Day services. We will be happy to have you worship with us. Each mother who attends the morning worship service will be given a gift as a small way of expressing our appreciation for all our mothers do and what they mean to us. We look forward to seeing you at Shiloh not just on Mother's Day but anytime you come to worship with us.
